Arrival in Manali – Base Camp Briefing
Reach Manali and check into your riverside hotel. Meet your expedition leader for a briefing session on the route, safety protocols, and altitude sickness management. Rest and local sightseeing in Manali.
Manali to Jispa via Atal Tunnel
Start the expedition. Drive through the state-of-the-art Atal Tunnel to enter the Lahaul Valley. Pass through Keylong and reach Jispa (3,200m). Overnight stay at a high-altitude camp beside the Bhaga river.
Jispa to Sarchu via Baralacha La
Ascend to Baralacha La Pass (4,890m), the point of origin for several rivers. Continue to Sarchu (4,290m), the boundary between Himachal and Ladakh. Overnight in adventure tents under the clearest starlit sky.
Sarchu to Leh – Conquering the High Passes
The most challenging and scenic day. Tackle the 21 Gata Loops, Nakee La, La-Chung La, and the Moore Plains. Cross Tanglang La (5,328m)—the second highest pass—before descending into Leh (3,524m).
Leh Rest and Acclimatization
A much-needed rest day in Leh. Explore the local Tibetan market, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa in the evening. Prepare for the next leg of the journey into the interior of Ladakh.
Leh to Nubra Valley (Hunder)
Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (5,359m). Visit the giant Buddha at Deskit and enjoy camel safari at Hunder Sand Dunes. Stay at a beautiful valley camp.
Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok
Travel along the Shyok River to reach the blue paradise of Pangong Lake. Witness the majestic colors of the lake as the sun sets. Overnight stay in lakeside camps.
Pangong Lake to Leh via Changla
Return to Leh via Changla Pass. Visit Thiksey Monastery on the way back. Spend your final evening in Leh celebrating the successful completion of the highway expedition.
Leh Local Sightseeing & Buffer Day
A relaxed day to explore the Hall of Fame, Magnetic Hill, and Sangam Point. Use this day for extra shopping or to revisit your favorite spots in Leh.
Departure from Leh Airport
Transfer to Leh airport for your flight back home. The expedition concludes with lifelong memories and stories of the high Himalayas.
